Services Provided

We opt to provide services that we believe will enrich our citizens' lives, services that help teach them aspects of daily adult life, services that help hone what interests/hobbies the citizen might want to discover and participate in. We also focus on the physical fitness and overall health and well-being of our citizens. We aim to promote a community within our program, and with the community around us.

Daily Life Services

We are looking to make each citizen more independent in their own ways, whether it be helping with washing and drying dishes, cleaning the table, doing laundry and folding towels, grocery shopping, making their own lunch, or taking out the garbage. We strive to help each citizens gain independent skills to allow them more control over their day to day lives, further driving them to purse what they are meant to do, whatever that may be. We believe that the building blocks of habitual daily tasks will help each citizen grow and develop more life skills

Physical Wellness

We encourage all citizens to take part in our physical activities, which range from planned walks, games, adapted workouts, and movement videos. We believe that exercise can help calm and focus us, but also motivate us to continue to grow in our environment

Community

We plan to build a strong community, first within our organization. We want our citizens to feel that they have a home at Emmanuel’s Place, a place of encouragement and fellowship, somewhere that they love to be and know they are loved. We can encourage this environment through dedicated staff, hosting events solely for our community, and by growing ourselves . Then, we look to engage the broader New Jersey community, volunteering at business to lend a helping hand at no cost, providing Goods and Services that many can learn, and upholding the core values of Emmanuels Place

Supported Employment / Vocational Development

Supported employment and Vocational Development is how we help prepare each citizen to enter into the workforce, whether with us or just in general. We provide personalized education to meet our citizens wherever they are at, to help prime them to enter the workforce. Citizens will have the ability to intern at many different levels to see where/what is the best fit for them. All the while, they were be gaining important life skills and other non-job specific skills to prepare them to enter into the workforce.

Goods and Service

Our Goods and Services program is an exciting part of our program, a way to teach our citizens new and exciting enterprises while helping teach them existential job skills. Some of our first two months of Goods and Services programs will be learning to make dog treats, baking cookies, creating greeting cards and jewelry, making resin cutting boards, creating candles and soaps, and many more. We believe in helping our citizens learn through fun, engaging activities with a reward at the end.
