Melyssa McCamish

Melyssa McCamish is a devoted wife and mother to two children. Her life journey and faith have fostered a desire to serve those forgotten and dismissed.

She earned a Masters in Counseling with a certification of advanced graduate study in school psychology from Georgian Court University and worked as a school psychologist for almost fifteen years before deciding to home school her children. Her work experience within the schools has provided her with first hand experience with the challenges that individuals and families experience as they transition from the school setting.

Melyssa’s personal experiences with children and young adults with special needs drove her to serve for several months at an orphanage in Hong Kong, China where she worked to develop a health curriculum to educate young girls.

She later went on several trips to Uganda, Africa serving children in orphanages as well as bringing to light the dire plight of children with exceptional needs.

Melyssa’s board experience includes servicing on the Board for Agape Faithworks Ministries Innovative Learning Center. Melyssa is excited about the vision of Emmanuel’s House and the opportunities it will bring to enrich and empower all who attend.
